Degree Authorization Achieved!
We are a COLLEGE!!!
Let’s celebrate!
It is with great pleasure that I can now, officially, tell you that LIOS is once again offering a master’s degree!
The Washington Student Achievement Council informed us at 3:39pm on April 1st.
“The Washington Student Achievement Council has completed its review and approval of the
Leadership Institute of Seattle’s application for degree authorization based on the institution’s
compliance with the standards and requirements found in Washington’s Degree-Granting
Institutions Act, Chapter 28B.85 RCW and WAC 250-61.”
This time is different because we are a standalone COLLEGE!
The Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) is a college recognized by the state. It’s first degree:
Master of Science in Leadership, Management, and Organization Development.
That means we can officially recruit students for fall of 2025.
Come celebrate with Bob Crosby, John Scherer and other!
2025-26 Residency Schedule is:
This first course (LOD-501) officially starts August 18 with students doing an online orientation and getting clarity on the assignments and readings they will need to prepare for the first residency in September. Each course ends on the last day of the residency.
Our time is short. Please start spreading the news!
LIOS has been reborn!
The next step is to get our initial class, then look at creating the counseling degree.
But first… let’s celebrate!
Join us Thursday April 17th for an evening session to celebrate degree authorization!
Robert P. Crosby is 96. He is an author, poet, singer, and organization development practitioner. In 1969 he founded the Leadership Institute of Spokane (later Seattle) – aka LIOS.
John Scherer is 86. In 1973 he joined Bob Crosby (Founder) and Ron Short (rest in peace Ron!) as one of the original three co-creators of the LIOS Graduate Program.
Come join John, Bob and others as we celebrate LIOS rebirth!
