What are your admission deadlines?
Applications are due July 18, 2025. All supporting documentation must be received
within 2 weeks of application submission. Applications after July 18, 2025 will be
considered on a case-by-case basis.
How many years of work experience do I need before applying to the LIOS
Master of Science in Leadership, Management and Organization Development
program?
5-6 years of work experience are optimal. Preferable with leadership and/or
management responsibilities.
May I submit more than three recommendation letters?
Yes
Are interviews required?
Yes. An interview with the president of LIOS will be required prior to student
acceptance. This conversation is to ensure a fit between the educational goals of
the student and the learning objectives of the master’s program.
Are there scholarships or other financial aid available?
Limited scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis. LIOS does not offer
financial aid at this time.
How can I speak with an admissions counselor?
Yes. Contact LIOS and request a meeting. We would be happy to schedule a
conversation and answer any questions. LIOS also offer virtual information session

Can I speak with current students and alumni?
This will be our first class of 2025 so there are no current students at this time. We
will be happy to connect you with alumni at any time.
Do you require an entrance exam?
No entrance exams are required.
Schedule
How long are the face-to-face courses typically?
Each course is 5 weeks long. The residency (face-to-face) portion of the program will last for 5 days with the exception of the first residency of each year being 7 days.
What is the time commitment I should expect during a residency?
Residency is scheduled from 8 am to 5 pm daily. Some evening work may be
required.
How many hours should I expect to spend on coursework during a normal
week while I am at home?
The general rule of thumb is 2.5 hours of coursework for every hour of face-to-face
instruction. That equates to approximately 120 hours of coursework.
Attendance
I live close by – is it mandatory to stay in the session’s lodging while attending
the residency portion of the program?
You are not required to stay at the residence’s lodging facilities. It is encouraged
though because often student spend time after class discussing the day’s content or
preparing for tomorrows topics.
Students
Are most students attending the LIOS MSLMOD program working
professionals?
Yes. We strongly encourage work experience prior to starting the program. This
allows the student to anchor what they learn with the real-life situations they have
experienced.
What is the average age of an incoming student?
The average is around 45 years old. But we have had students that range from mid-
twenties to mid-fifties.
How do experiential and academic master programs differ?
Academic learning focuses on theoretical knowledge acquisition through structured, often classroom-based methods, while experiential learning emphasizes hands-on, real-world application of knowledge through concrete conversations, experiences and reflection. In essence, academic learning is about learning about something, whereas experiential learning is about learning by doing.
